Sapling Stakes winner Rippin Rupert makes his racing return at Bathurst tonight.
The Bernie Hewitt-trained gelding will face a heat of the NSW Breeders Challenge.
Rippin Rupert has not raced since winning that Sapling Stakes at Menangle on March 12.
That was the son of Tintin In America’s second start and he rated a slick 1:53.2.
Hewitt has five horses engaged in that Breeders Challenge qualifier and has elected to take the reins on Rippin Rupert.
There are three Breeders Challenge heats in total tonight and Hewitt has 12 horses across the qualifiers.
