HER stable provides half the field in Saturday night’s feature at Globe Derby, but Jill Neilson should only need one runner to emerge triumphant.

Neilson has three starters in the South Australia Trotters’ Derby, with the team headed by classy youngster My Used To Be.

The son of Used To Me has had eight local outings for six wins and a third, including a first-up victory a fortnight ago.

During his Victorian stint My Used To Be notched a win, three placings and three fourths from seven outings.

Despite being the widest drawn squaregaiter in the classic, My Used To Be is a short-priced favourite.

“He is my best chance,” Neilson said. “He has a little bit on the others.

“I was very pleased with his run back from a break and he’s trained on well since.”

Neilson will also be represented by Lovelorn and Accused Offender, which have will come from gates two and five.

With four wins from seven starts this season, Lovelorn shapes as his stablemate’s main danger.

“Lovelorn is a very nice trotter,” Neilson said. “He’ll go well.

“Accused Offender is a little bit behind the other two in his preparation, but will still run a good race.”
