NEW LOOK 2022 SA CUP PROGRAM
On the back of recent prize money announcements and an unwavering commitment to supporters of South Australian Harness Racing, HRSA is excited to unveil a new look SA Cup program for 2022. In a first for the state, the SA Country Cup meetings will form together to create a points-based series culminating in the SA Cup at Globe Derby on April 30. This will incorporate three categories: Pacers (2645m mobile final), Trotters (2645m standing start final) and a 3 year-old Derby (2230m mobile final) series, with over $250,000 of prize money in total on offer.
Eligibility
The series will run across 8 meetings over the space of 10 weeks with varying distances and start types. To be eligible, a horse must be domiciled in South Australia with a HRSA licensed trainer from February 1, 2022 and remain in South Australia for the duration of the event (please note close border community trained horses will also be accepted).

Points System
A points-based system over 7 meetings will determine the starting line-up for the SA Cups and Derby. Additionally, there’ll be a cash prize for each leading overall scorer. The points will be tallied for each lead-in race as follows:
