HRSA FUTURE DIRECTION
CONSULTATION PROCESS BEGINS
The Harness Racing SA Board will shortly begin its process of engagement with key stakeholders to discuss the future direction of the SA harness racing industry over the next 5 years.
Central to the stakeholder engagement will be discussion on initiatives, and the decisions which must be taken to grow the industry throughout the state.
The key stakeholders will include: –
- All SA Harness Racing Clubs
- Associations including SA BOTRA; SA Trainers & Drivers Association and SA Square Trotters Association.
- Harness Racing Australia
The agenda will include discussion on
- Handicapping
- SA Centric racing
- Programming innovation
- Horse population
- Ownership / Breeding initiatives
- Prizemoney / Wagering
- Facilities
Chairman of HRSA George Fiacchi commented: “It’s time for change, our focus will be on growth and rewarding the industry participants that have been loyal to SA. We only have limited funding so want to make sure prizemoney both increases and as much as possible makes its way back into the hands on those supporting harness racing in the state. Everyone working together will create a better industry for all.”
“Once we have concluded our engagement with the key stakeholders we will communicate the outcomes with the industry”
