Wagga Wagga – Riverina Paceway is pleased to announce its inaugural Christmas Carnival and Fireworks race meeting to be held on Friday 23 December.
Racing fans and families can enjoy a spectacular night at the trots which will include a visit from Santa Clause, Jumping Castles, Inflatable Ball Bit, Face Painting, Inflatable Obstacle Course plus much more.
Following the race meeting, families will enjoy fireworks display in the infield of the track.
“Hosting community events is something that we always take great pride in,” said Chief Executive Greg Gangle. “We were not originally scheduled to race on the 23rd of December, but we were able to work with Harness Racing New South Wales to secure the date.”
The race meeting will hope to provide a community attraction and is something the Club is looking forward to hosting annually.
“It’s a wonderful way to showcase harness racing while attracting families within the region and hopefully create new fans of the sport,” Gangle said. “Anytime we can integrate the trots with the community is very important to our club.”
In the meantime, Riverina Paceway is currently undergoing its annual track resurface just in time for the holiday season. With six race meetings scheduled before the New Year, Riverina Paceway continues to be an excellent location to host Christmas Parties.
