METROPOLITAN reinswoman Madi Young is leading the charge in the Nicholas Dewar Memorial Rising Stars Series.

Following four rounds of heats, Young has tasted victory in two of them.

Former Riverina driver Cameron Hart, who is now based in Sydney, won the first heat at Young last Tuesday night when sending Geldof across the line first.

Young bounced back after having no luck in the opening heat when sustaining a flat tyre to win the second heat on Anodoubt.

The second round of heats were held at Bathurst on Wednesday night and the fairer sex dominated with defending champion Ellen Rixon taking out the first heat with Tres Vite while Young won the next heat with Shardons Sheralee.

More heats will be held at Bankstown on Friday, Newcastle Saturday and the series will culminate with one final heat at Menangle on Sunday.
