Five Card Draw is the latest pacer to head to North America.
A deal was confirmed last week for the multiple feature race winner and the gelded son of super sire Bettors Delight will fly out on September 24.
Five Card Draw was a scratching on Saturday night from the Menangle meeting in Sydney owing to the sale.
The deal was negotiated by Perth based agent Frank Ranaldi.
Originally starting his career in New Zealand with master horseman Barry Purdon, Five Card Draw enjoyed a wonderful rookie season which gained him national honours following his success in the Gr.1 Jewels, Cardigan Bay Stakes and New Zealand Sires Stakes.
After struggling to recapture his best form in the following two seasons, Five Card Draw was sold to Queensland based businessman Dean Shannon and sent to the stables of his astute trainer Darrel Graham.
The change in scenery and style of racing suited Five Card Draw with victories in the Gr.3 Redcliffe Cup, Gr.3 4yo Championship and four Rising Stars Championship Finals.
“He was a good horse for the stable, it was a gamble of sorts to purchase a horse like this but he’s provided us with plenty of great memories. With a little more luck, he could’ve picked up another Redcliffe Cup plus a Premiers Cup but that’s racing.” Graham said.
“He is a lovely horse to do anything with and he’s great around the stables. I think he’ll do a great job wherever he goes because he’s got speed and he can stick it out pretty good too.” Graham added.
Five Card Draw finished 6th behind former Queensland Pacing Championship winner Ideal Scott in 1:54.5 at his most recent start at Albion Park on September 3.
