Lietinna trainer Kent Rattray will launch a three-pronged attack on tonight’s Tasracing Dandy Patch Prelude in Hobart.

Colby Sanz (pictured) is the best credentialed of the three ahead of Jimi Sanz and Rockandahardplace but Rattray finds it difficult to split them.

“They are three smart youngsters, I took them out to Carrick recently and had two judges on the line, one gave the trial to Colby and the other thought Jimi had won it and Rockandahardplace came off their backs and was only a half-length away on the line,” said Kent.

“Johnny (Walters) gets his choice of drives and he’s gone with Colby Sanz, he’s a Devonport winner and has finished second at his other four starts including a close second to Kohanah in the Sweepstakes beaten only three metres.”

Jimi Sanz comes into calculations on his half-head victory over Kohanah in Launceston in March.

“I was impressed with his run that night, he led and held off Kohanah to win narrowly, he’s a stable favourite as he has that bit of dash about him,” said Kent.

“Rockandahardplace flies under the radar but he would only be a length off Colby and Jimi on his night so he shouldn’t be underestimated tonight.”

Blame It On Me, trained by Doug Nettlefold, will run favourite in the Tasracing Evicus Prelude over a mile.

The Big Jim – Shake Me Up filly has won four of her five starts including the Launceston Belmont and the $20,000 Sweepstakes Final in Hobart.

Blame It On Me faces a tough task tonight and Natalee Emery will need all of her class and experience to guide the filly to victory from her solo second line draw over the mile sprint journey.”
