2The 2016 Queensland winter carnival officially kicks off this weekend.

Over the next three Saturday nights, a myriad of features will be staged with outstanding talent, both human and equine, chasing the rich prizes on offer.

All categories are covered and Albion Park is the place to be!

This Saturday night, a great 10 race program is scheduled and feature events include the 4yo Championship, Premiers Cup, Gold Coast Oaks and the inaugural running of the Mr Feelgood for the open class stars.

A strong local contingent is pitted against a number of interstate visitors plus classy New Zealand filly Nek Time steps out for the first time on Australian soil.

The Gotta Go Cullect filly, prepared by Canterbury based couple of Terry and Glenys Chmiel, lines up in the $20,000 Garrards Gold Coast Oaks which has drawn together a competitive field.

Gambling giant UBET are offering a guaranteed $50,000 First 4 on the opening race while a $10,000 jackpot is also slated for the event.

And the opening event has drawn together a competitive field featuring several in-from runners in the 1660m mobile start event.

The ideally drawn Polished Rocks will carry plenty of support, recent efforts have been encouraging from awkward post positions.

A Quadrella jackpot of $20,000 is also programmed; the quaddie will be staged on races 2, 3, 4 & 5.

Again, the quaddie legs look open with several even races assembled meaning punters will get great value.

UBET also have a $10,000 guaranteed trifecta pool slated for race three plus F4 jackpots of $2000 on races 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8.

Fixed odds prices for all the feature events on Saturday night can be found on the UBET website https://ubet.com/
