5The 2016 Racing Queensland harness winter carnival officially starts this Saturday night at Albion Park and a wide range of features are scheduled.

Feature events include the $20,000 Garrards Gold Coast Oaks, $30,000 Horsepower 4yo Championship, $30,000 Garrrads Premiers Cup and the $25,000 Mr Feelgood Open Pace.

The Premiers Cup holds a special place in the history of Queensland harness racing, first staged back in 1984 and held under standing start conditions, the Premiers Cup features some outstanding talent and this year’s edition will be no different with a number of talented types taking their place in the 2647m contest.

This event is steeped in history and the honour roll boasts some of the very best names, take a look.
