Now named Navy Blues, the 3yo gelded son of Stonebridge Regal and Bruisedandbattered won his first race at Pinjarra on Monday with the $4550 first prize taking his earnings to more than $16,000.

In addition owner Craig Lynn received a $2000 Westbred First Win Owners Bonus plus a $2550 Westbred Bonus while breeder Global Breeding Farms received a $2000 Westbred First Win Breeders Bonus of $2000 plus a further $319 Westbred Breeders Bonus.

Navy Blues raced just twice as a 2yo and was placed in the Group One WA Sales Classic and this season his five starts have seen three second placings in addition to Monday’s win.

Navy Blues is the second live foal from Bruisedandbattered which is a daughter of outstanding mare Black And Blue 1:57.2 $212,495 who ranks as a half-sister to Celebrity Sprint winner No Blue Manna 1:56.6 $628,157.

Global Breeding Farms will offer five yearlings at the 2016 Gloucester Standardbreds WA Yearling Sale on February 21st by stallions of the quality of McArdle, Elsu, Mister Big and Major In Art.

Prentice and Lynn have had a good weekend as their 4yo mare Quite A Delight maintained her unbeaten record this season when a winner at Gloucester Park on Friday night. The mare has now won each of her four starts this season.
