Village Kid

Village Kid (Gramatan), double millionaire Village Kid ($2,117,870; 1:55.1TT), winner of ninety three races (twenty four seconds and twelve thirds) from one hundred and sixty career starts including fifty four Classic race victories. Village Kid’s career commenced in New Zealand in 1983 as a three year old where he was the winner of three of his nine starts (two Alexandra Park) for Patumahoe market gardener and owner/amateur trainer Brian Notman and winning driver John Langdon.

“The Village Kid Story” by multiple Joseph Coulter Media Award (Harness Racing Australia) winner Alan Parker highlights the fantastic career of “Willie” (Village Kid) from go to whoa. It is only proposed here to emphasise some of his many career highlights.
