HUNTER Valley horseman Roy Roots Junior is making the trek to Dubbo tonight with a two-pronged attack in the Group 3 Red Ochre Fillies and Mares Classic.

Roots will be taking on the locals with his two mares Delilaah and Glengarry Rose.

The favouritism rests with Goulburn mare Arma Naughty who opened at $2.30 with TAB Fixed Odds.

The second elect is the Amanda Turnbull-trained Gotta Party Doll who firmed into $3.10.

Turnbull is also dually represented with Meraviglia also brining good form into the feature.

Dubbo’s big night of racing will also be highlighted by the Quambys Stayers Cup, which will see the return of Grand Circuit pacer Our Uncle Sam.

The Chris Frisby-trained gelding has not raced since his Queensland camping in October where he finished sixth to Colt Thirty One last start.

Tonight’s feature race meeting at Dubbo will get underway at 6:25pm.
