MIRACLE Mile winner King Of Swing has captured New South Wales’ highest accolade and crowned the 2019/20 Horse of the Year.
The Horse of the Year Awards were determined by 10 members of the media that voted for King Of Swing’s unanimously, with the pacer receiving 100 per cent of the votes.
King Of Swing had a stellar season being the highest stakes earner and fastest winner across Australia last season.
Pocketing $1,154,866 in stakes, King Of Swing was victorious in the Grand Circuit’s Miracle Mile, Hunter Cup and Blacks A Fake Championship.
It was a clear pick for NSW Aged Entire/Gelding of the Year and NSW Aged Horse of the Year as well with King Of Swing claiming both titles with 100 per cent of the votes also.
The other Horse of the Year Awards for 2019/20 are:
Two-Year-Old Trotter of the Year:
Aldebaran Ursula – 90 per cent of votes
2YO Trotters Foundation Heat winner
Two-Year-Old Filly Pacer of the Year:
Anntonia – 100 per cent of votes
2YO Breeders Challenge Semi-Final winner, second-placed in Breeders Challenge Final and Gold Tiara Final
Two-Year-Old Colt/Gelding Pacer of the Year:
Tasty Delight – 90 per cent of votes
Sapling Stakes and Gold Crown winner, second-placed in Breeders Challenge Final
NSW Two-Year-Old of the Year:
Tasty Delight – 90 per cent of votes
Three-Year-Old Trotter of the Year:
Elite Stride – 90 per cent of the votes
Need For Speed Prince Final, Gold Coronet, 3YO Foundation Final and NSW Derby winner, second-placed in Victoria Derby
Three-Year-Old Filly Pacer of the Year:
Jenden Strike – 40 per cent of the votes
Young Oaks, South East Oaks, Western District Derby winner
Three-Year-Old Colt/Gelding Pacer of the Year:
Line Up – 80 per cent of the votes
NSW and Victoria Derby winner
NSW Three-Year-Old of the Year:
Line Up – 70 per cent of the votes
Aged Trotter of the Year:
Tough Monarch – 90 per cent of the votes
Maori’s Idol FFA winner, second-placed Maori’s Idol FFA, third-placed in NZ Dominion, Bill Collins Sprint
Aged Mare Pacer of the Year:
Bettor Enforce – 100 per cent of the votes
Red Ochre Classic winner and five-time Group 3 feature winner at Menangle, second-placed Ladyship Mile, Queen Of Pacific, third-placed Sibelia Stakes
