Dexter Dunn tops money list 

A four-win day in Pennsylvania has helped propel Dexter Dunn to the top of the money-winners list in the U.S. At Harrah’s Philadelphia he had four wins including a Sires Stakes hat-trick, with No Lou Zing in the Pennsylvania Sires Stakes for three-year- old colts and geldings in 1:49.3, while the other winners were with Amigo Volo in the three-year-old colts and geldings trotters (1:52.3), and the unbeaten Party Girl Hill in the three-year-old fillies race (1:48.4).
Another win at Meadows Pennsylvania took his total to 231 for the year. His earnings for 2020 now stand at close to $US5.5m or $NZ8.2m He is top of the list ahead of heavyweights Tim Tetrick and Yannick Gingras.

U May Cullect poised for raceday return 

Southern sensation U May Cullect is set to make his raceday return at Invercargill tomorrow. The winner of seven of his eight starts he hasn’t been to the races since September last year because of a tendon injury. He’ll start in The Yaldhurst Hotel Handicap Pace (2400m) at 5.09 pm.

Telfer – Butcher Trifecta 

The Telfer – Butcher combination was in dominant form at Alexandra Park last Thursday with Mimi E Coco, Doc Holliday and Kerri Maguire taking out the trifecta for the training partnership of Steve and Amanda Telfer. And the drivers? Zachary Butcher headed the field, ahead of his brother Benjamin, and cousin Shane.

Another milestone for Manning 

Kerryn Manning, the first woman to win the New Zealand Cup (Arden Rooney 2015), has achieved another milestone with her 1000th training success. She won with Valiente at Stawell as she also zeroes in on 4000 driving wins (currently 3971).

The Methven Club would like to make all aware that at their meeting this Sunday conditions will be similar to recent Addington meetings that is:
No betting facility on course
No alcohol sold on course
Owners and trainers will be required to sign in or use their phones to do so.
No general public allowed on course.
Committee staff will direct owners where to park (that will not be at track fence except in the case of paraplegics)
There will be food (sandwiches, tea and fast food) courtesy of sponsor The Brown Pub available and for trainers and drivers in the drivers room courtesy of sponsor The Akaroa Fish and Chip shop.
Trainers and owners who would like to bet are asked to bet prior to the meeting or by phone(coverage available on course) T.A.B. facilities also available at nearby Brown Pub Methven. Video form from last weekend’s Methven trials available on HRNZ website.
