HRNSW is pleased to announce Amanda Rando as the controlling body’s Racing Liaison Officer. Amanda will be responsible for communicating and consulting with the various Clubs to effect race programmes which compliment the Handicapping & Programming Strategy of HRNSW and address local and regional requirements.
In addition Amanda will create initiatives that will enhance the racing product allowing horses to be competitive throughout their racing life and prepare reports relating to aspects of the race meeting schedule for review by the Board and Executive Management.
HRNSW Chief Executive Officer John Dumesny believes Amanda is the ideal person for the new role.
“Amanda will be big asset to HRNSW, the Racing Liaison Officer role will be an important one with Amanda dealing directly with the Clubs across the state and will then implement initiatives at local and regional levels to ensure the industry’s continued success,” Dumesny said
“After nearly a decade with the National Trotguide and Harness Racing Weekly, Amanda’s intricate knowledge of harness racing will help her in the role and importantly she is well known by a number of key stakeholders.
“Amanda’s key involvement in all forms of media will be an integral tool which will enhance her role and avenues of assistance to the respective clubs from the racing perspective.”
Amanda is excited to be joining HRNSW and is looking forward to a new challenge.
“I’m really looking forward to the new role and I’m glad I can continue my involvement in the sport,” Amanda said.
Amanda will take up the position of Racing Liaison Officer from next month.
