Queensland BOTRA (Breeders, reinspersons, trainers & owners association) has undergone some major changes in the front office.
At the recently staged Special General Meeting of BOTRA at Albion Park, new appointments were made for Office Bearers to the Management Committee in accordance with the relevant sections of the Constitution.
And the results are in.
President – Peter McMullen
Vice President – Dan Costello
Treasurer – Trent Dawson
Secretary – Madi Dux
It’s a new look management committee with a blend of experience mixed with youth.
McMullen, one of the country’s leading reinsman will be ably assisted by Dawson and Dux who also compete regularly while Costello is the on-course photographer at Albion Park and a keen owner.
And the new leadership group plan on hitting the ground running with several items part of their immediate focus.
“The obvious job at hand is to increase membership and awareness of BOTRA so we will be proactive in hopefully gaining and regaining members while improving our funding is another key area. BOTRA are proud supporters and sponsors for many awards within the industry and we want to continue to build on that aspect.” McMullen said.
“With more numbers for BOTRA it provides a bigger voice to Racing Queensland so we can be heard, the more the better and there’s always a number of different issues that need addressing. I think it’s a really good team and I’m looking forward to working with them and the members.” He added.
