As announced last week, Harness Racing New Zealand is excited to announce the launch of our newly redesigned website which will happen on Wednesday 1 May 2019.

Following feedback from the industry, we wanted to move with the times and give our users a website with a clean new look, a fully responsive layout on all platforms and an overall better user experience.

A responsive design will transform itself meaning it will adjust itself to fit the device you are using. This means that you will no longer have to zoom in to read content on the website.

Our website analytics now show that almost half our or users are accessing the current website via their phones, and the new website will ensure a more efficient and cleaner delivery of information to those users on their cellphones.

Some of the newer features will include access to the racing information menu at the top of every page.

This means that you will no longer need to navigate back to the fields section of the website to refer to this information. It will be available to users by scrolling back to the top of every page of the site.

Our news articles will now have a category allocated to them, meaning you can search for articles by category should you wish.

These categories for example will include: News, Club News, Podcasts, Ownership, Life After Racing, Official Notices, Breeding and Punters Info.

The Punters Info category will offer a dedicated section for punting information such as meeting previews, The Shark form guide, Southern Harness tips for their meetings and an exciting new addition of audio clips from race commentators with meeting previews and selections.

An alert banner will also feature at the top of each page, should there be any urgent news updates regarding abandonments or cancellations, this information will feature prominently to ensure it reaches all users efficiently.
