The Mildura Harness Racing Club are watching with great anticipation what their close neighbour across the border is doing to create all this excitement, in what many people believe will be Australia’s greatest value race series, THE ALLWOOD.
The sale which will take place at the Magic Millions Sales Complex, Morphettville, SA on Sunday the 11th of February has the potential to massively change Harness Racing as we know it in this country and especially for owners in country Victoria, just like the great harness racing people in the Mildura area.
When we contacted a Mildura Harness Racing Club their CEO Tim Scala said:
“With all the excitement of South Australia running its first ever Group One race series for 2YO’s The Allwood, we (Mildura Harness Racing Club) want our people to be involved”.
“We also wanted to make sure we work with our owners, trainers and drivers here at the club, because we see this as a massive opportunity going forward with this sale and race series, it looks like it’s going to be a big winner for the sport”

Let’s not forget the Harnessbred.com state of origin 3YO series, which has race stakes north of $70,000 for just the 16 fillies that walk into the ring in SA on February the 11th plus the additional 18 fillies from the Shepparton Harness Racing Club.
This very prestigious event that’s jointly hosted by the SHRC and HRSA will have two $10,000 heats, one to be hosted at Shepparton and the other in South Australia.
