6The Albion Park Harness Racing Club is where punters need to focus this Saturday night.

And gambling giant UBET is offering plenty of reasons to do your homework.

A guaranteed $200,000 trifecta pool is being staged on the opening event, the Earlybirds New Farm Pace over 2138m which also carries a $50,000 jackpot.

Yes, a guaranteed $200,000 trifecta pool!

And a strong field has been assembled with four last start winners lining-up while several others will appreciate a slight drop back in class.

With the 2016 winter carnival now behind us, a number of local pacers are looking to bounce back into the winners circle.

But New South Wales horsemen Dennis Picker and Dean Cernovskis are still campaigning in the sunshine state and have excellent chances with Onlykidding and Divas Delight respectively.

Albion Park course commentator Chris Barsby is expecting a keenly contested event and believes the race boasts several winning hopes owing to the barrier draw.

“In many ways, there’s still a winter carnival flavour about this race and it’s not easy to assess so that will mean punters are looking at value.  I believe talented mare Onlykidding will take plenty of beating given her dominant victory last start, she was forced to work over the concluding stages and sectionals were very impressive but won with something in hand.” Barsby said.

The Pacific Fella mare was handled by outstanding horseperson Amanda Turnbull but Picker will take the drive this weekend.

Onlykidding will start from gate two.

“This race possesses really strong pressure and that should suit a mare like Onlykidding, the harder they go the better she will be. The draw looks ideal and although she isn’t noted for her early speed, she should end up in a fairly handy position.

“Her winning effort last start was very impressive, she ran down a horse that is a good front-runner while her efforts prior was luckless. I think she is a very good chance of repeating and she will be each-ways odds in this line-up.

“Horses like Remember Them and Feel The Courage both have excellent gate speed and they will be pushing forward while several others will maintain pressure throughout which will ultimately suit Onlykidding, I’m expecting a good dividend from this race because it does appear very even.”

The first of 10 races is scheduled to start at 5.15pm.
