by Bendigo Harness Racing Club Media Release
Bendigo Harness Racing Club has today announced that Gary Cooper has finished in his role as Racing Operations Manager at the club after over three years in the position.
During Mr Cooper’s time in the role the club has undergone a solid period of growth and restructure, highlighted by improved operational efficiency and a greater spirit of cooperation between all participant groups within the club environment and wider harness community.
Mr Cooper’s efforts have also seen the implementation of a range of policies and procedures that, going forward, will create further efficiency within the club’s management and operation.
However, as a result of the increasingly harder funding dollar, the club has had to restructure its management to achieve further cost savings, and this has seen Mr Cooper’s role and duties absorbed by other staff.
“The club wishes Gary the very best for the future and thanks him for his service to the local trots industry over a long period of time,” said Bendigo President Mr Paul Best.
Mr Cooper remains Club Manager at Charlton and is looking forward to continuing his work within the industry.
“I’d like to thank the committee, club, colleagues and participants for my time at Bendigo and look forward to seeing everyone at the trots soon,” Mr Cooper said.
