This is the Majordan’s moment.

It’s the first time all the stars have aligned and Kevin Pizzuto expects his star speedster to produce something special in Sunday’s $100,000 Group 1 Len Smith Mile at Menangle.

“He’s good enough, certainly fast enough, to win a Miracle Mile let alone a Len Smith Mile, so yes absolutely he’s good enough to win and run quick time this week,” Pizzuto said.

“He gets his chance for sure. He’s right where I want him, Todd McCarthy (driver) really understands him and he’s drawn well.

“And his trial showed how ready he is.”

Majordan has run some blazing miles already for Pizzuto, but some costly mistakes ruined his chances in the Newcastle Mile and of making the Miracle Mile field last campaign.

“Those were driver issues, not the horse. Now we’ve got Toddy on him, he won’t be galloping away like he did back then,” Pizzuto said.

“Look at how he went for Todd at the (Menangle) trials last week. A 1.49.5 mile, winning easily and without being let go.

“What time can he run this week if he has to? At least 1.48 I reckon.

‘He’s very, very fast and he likes to roll along. You haven’t seen the best of him yet and he’s ready to show it this week.”

Majordan is a commanding favourite from gate one, but has eased of slightly from $2.10 to $2.20 on the Aussie TAB with huge support for Inter Dominion runner-up Our Uncle Sam ($7 into $3.80) from gate two.

The in-form Ellmers Image is next at $4.80 from gate six.

The Len Smith Mile headlines a stellar Sunday card at Menangle along with a string of NSW Breeders Challenge finals.

It’s a big few days for Pizzuto with his Inter Dominion champion Tiger Tara having a private trial at Bankstown on Friday.

“I was going to private trial him yesterday (Tuesday), but the track was a bit heavy, so I pushed it back to Friday,” Pizzuto said. “Both he and Majordan worked super this morning.”

Pizzuto still favours taking Tiger Tara first-up into the $250,000 Group 1 Blacks A Fake at Albion Park on July 20.

Majordan is his stable elect for the $100,000 Group 1 Sunshine Sprint at Albion Park the week before on July 13.
