She is the fastest two-year-old filly in the Southern Hemisphere and Major Delight will need to use her speed to win the Group 1 NSW Breeders Challenge Final at Menangle on October 29.
Major Delight drew barrier 10 for the $150,000 feature and could come out of barrier eight with the removal of the two emergencies.
Major Delight set a major benchmark winning her semi-final at Menangle last Saturday night, lowering the Australasian 1609m two-year-old fillies record by more than a second.
Major Delight stopped the clock in 1:50.5.
“It’s crazy the times they are going but she’s a pretty special horse,” said driver Mark Pitt.
“She hasn’t quite figured out what to do but when she does, she will be a very serious horse.”
Major Delight is unbeaten in five starts.
