Talented filly Madrid made a clean sweep of the NSW Breeders Challenge series last year and connections are hoping she replicates that this year.
Like last season, Madrid has won her Breeders Challenge heat this time around too and is one of the main fancies to win the semi-final at Menangle this Saturday night.
The three-year-old has drawn the plum barrier of gate three and will start from barrier two if the second emergency is not needed.
Trained by Jarrod Alchin and driven by Cameron Hart for most of her career, Madrid has won 11 of her 17 starts and banked $230,074 in stakes.
However, before Saturday night Alchin and Hart will focus their attention to Penrith tonight where they will combine their efforts in two races with pacers My Ultimate Chevron and My Ultimate Johnny.
The iForm best bets for Thursday:
Penrith best bet
Race 9: Aphrodite (5)
Could have their measure going better than her form suggests against stronger opposition.
Penrith next best
Race 3: Full Brother (1)
More than useful type capable of testing the leading fancies on pole position.
Around the tracks
Tamworth best bet
Race 8: One For The Rodi (4)
Progressive type who was impressive last time and looks to have them for class.
Play the exotics
The Penrith quaddie
Race 5: 3-1-7
Race 6: 1-5-10-9
Race 7: 1-4-8
Race 8: 2-1-6-8
