With a winning strike rate of 20 per cent this season young driver James Locke is on track to having his best year yet.
The 18-year-old has driven 19 winners so far and last season was his best result, ending the term with 32 victories.
Locke heads to Menangle today for three drives, all on trotters. His first assignment is with Jungle Eyes, a trotter that has won his last three starts with two of those victories guided by Locke.
He will then drive Giddy Up Eyes in race two. The mare has provided Locke with two wins this season.
Locke’s final drive on the program is with Pharisee. In that same event, race three, young reinswoman Ashley Hart will have her first drive for the season behind the Jack Trainor-prepared Itz Trixton Time.
Hart, the older sister of top NSW driver Cameron Hart, drove her last winner in September behind the trotter Bacardi Barmaid.
