RACE 1: TABTOUCH PACE (2130m)
Ross Olivieri (QUEEN SHENANDOAH): “She’ll be heading towards the lead. She gets out quick and I think she can lead these and go well.”
Shannon Suvaljko (ARMA INDIE): “Nice mare who will run a great race from this draw.”
Aiden De Campo (MANDY JOAN): “Racing really well. Will run a good race.”
Ross Olivieri (MADAME MEILLAND): “If it is run hard and she sits midfield or closer she’ll have something to say. Her last run was very good, I think she’s an outside chance.”
Michael Grantham (MY PRAYER): “It’s probably going to be sticky for her again against Typhoon Tiff and Arma Indie but I was pretty happy with how she dashed last week. If she gets a soft trip she could probably run third.”
RACE 2: PERTH PLASTERBOARD CENTRE PACE (2130m)
Chris Voak (OUR VIRTUOSO): “Great draw in an even field. Each-way on best form.”
Matthew Scott (CHARLIE EL): “He’ll have to go back and driven for luck. He’s still working well at home so he might be a place chance.”
Gary Hall Snr (TUAS DELIGHT): “He’ll probably just slot in somewhere. He went really good last week and looks an each-way chance.”
Gary Hall Snr (EXTREME PRINCE): “The draw doesn’t help him but he’s going well. He couldn’t get clear last start so I’ll probably send him forward and if he leads he’ll be very hard to beat.”
Aiden De Campo (WHOSWHOINTHEZOO): “Draw hurts will get back and take short cuts but racing good enough if things go his way.”
Jocelyn Young (HAS NO FEAR): “Draw hurts, racing well but it needs to be run upside down to see her winning.”
Matthew Scott (CLARENDEN HUSTLER): “He won first-up in weaker company but he needed the run badly. This is a perfect draw for him so he’s an each-way chance in this field.”
RACE 3: SIMMONDS STEEL PACE (2130m)
Matthew Scott (TWENTYNINE TWELVE): “We’ve been very lucky with the barrier draws and decided to take a sit last week but, after his work on Wednesday, I don’t think we’ll be sitting this week. We’ll be staying in front and whatever beats him should win. I reckon he’s the pick of my bunch this week.”
Gary Hall Snr (OUR RHYTHM N BLUES): “He’s just a horse who never wins races. He’ll be a place chance again.”
Aldo Cortopassi (NAVAL AVIATOR): “I was happy with his last run but it’s not an easy assignment this week from the draw. We’ll probably try find some early cover and hope there’s some genuine speed in the race then let him get home.”
Ross Olivieri (BOOM TIME): “He should get a nice run, it’s just a question of what happens later on. It’s actually a pretty strong field, but he’s still some sort of hope. He got in a good position last week then got shuffled out of it and came home strong.”
Kyle Harper (BLACK JACK ZAC): “If the speeds on early will be finishing off strong. Each-way at a bit of value.”
RACE 4: ETCH COATINGS PACE (2130m)
Aldo Cortopassi (CONVERT DENARIO): “The draw is a perfect start for him. He’s been trialling well but he needs to against this calibre of horses. We’ll just hand up to Handsandwheels or Chicago Bull, whoever gets to me first.”
Ross Olivieri (STROKE OF LUCK): “He’s racing well and I actually think he’ll acquit himself well in this class. It’ll be a good test for the horse.”
Michael Grantham (IM SOXY): “It’s a tough field but we’ve drawn inside the two main fancies. It’ll probably be an Indian file race early and we’re probably running for third or fourth.”
Aiden De Campo (HANDSANDWHEELS): “I was happy with him last week. He pulled up well and should continue to improve with race fitness.”
Kyle Harper (VULTAN TIN): “Quality field and an unfavourable draw. Place claims.”
Gary Hall Snr (CHICAGO BULL): “He’s improved again, he’s getting better with every run. He was out a long time, which is what people don’t understand, and he’s a bit of a lazy horse at home so it takes a while to get the condition off him. He’s going really well now and I’m really happy with him.”
RACE 5: CATALANO TRUCK & EQUIPMENT 3YO PACE (2130m)
Kyle Harper (JOEY JAMES): “Good draw should get a soft trip behind the leader. Place claims.”
Gary Hall Snr (ALTA BLUES): “He’d be impossible to beat on ability but he’s got problems. As far as ability goes he’s got an abundance of it, but it’s just a matter of him doing things right.”
Aiden De Campo (ASKMEILLTELLYA): “Bad draw in an even field. Place chance.”
Michael Grantham (POWER AND GRACE): “He’s a pretty good horse this one. They’re all talented three-year-olds so I guess whoever gets the best run will win, but I wouldn’t be leaving him out of anything.”
Chris Voak (STAR OF DIAMONDS): “Good performance last start to win. Drawn wide but has the gate speed to put herself in a handy position.”
Shannon Suvaljko (RED HOT LADY): “Racing well and an okay draw. She’ll work home nicely from quiet run.”
Matthew Scott (MIRACLE MAX): “He’s not going too bad, his run was better than it looked on Monday. He went wide on the track and can definitely run a place in this field.”
RACE 6: JOHN HIGGINS MEMORIAL PACE (2130m)
Greg Bond (PARMESAN): “He’s got good gate speed to hold up and I expect him to be hard to run down.”
Kyle Harper (KENNYS REVENGE): “Last start was good but a little out of his depth here.”
Chris Voak (WOODLEA RAGNAR): “Average draw. With the right trip would be capable of collecting some money for connection.”
Jocelyn Young (PIERRE WHITBY): “Awkward draw but looks to be a competitive race that may be run to suit. Place chance.”
Aiden De Campo (THE VERANDAH): “Looks tough from 8.”
Aldo Cortopassi (TO FAST TO SERIOUS): “We’ll probably drive him for his speed, there’s not a lot we can do from nine. We can only hope we have a lot of good luck and the opposition has some bad luck.”
Michael Grantham (AFFLUENT BELL): “He’s going well. It looks like I could end up three-the-rail which will be a perfect spot for him and with To Fast To Serious drawn wide the field should get broken up. He’s definitely a place chance.”
RACE 7: WORLDWIDE PRINTING PACE (2130m)
Aldo Cortopassi (CYCLONE BANNER): “Great draw for him, we’ll try take full advantage of it this week. He’s going well and will be driven positively so I expect him to be hard to beat.”
Michael Grantham (GOOD TIMES AHEAD): “I reckon we could three-the-fence here so we’ll be straight in behind the leader and he could probably hold on to run third or fourth.”
Aiden De Campo (BAYLAN JETT): “Super last week. Looks hard to win but should place again.”
Chris Voak (CAPTAIN MANNERING): “Going well, ordinary draw for this race but can figure for minor money with a good trip.”
Shannon Suvaljko (MATTJESTIC STAR): “Going better then form says but will sit back with the speed on in this contest and will run on.”
RACE 8: WESTSIDE AUTO WHOLESALE PACE (2130m)
Gary Hall Snr (ROBBIE EASTON): “He’ll go good, I think he’s a definite winning chance. He should lead and be hard to beat.”
Matthew Scott (ROCK ME OVER): “He doesn’t have to run into Handsandwheels and Chicago Bull this week but, in saying that, it’s still a handy race. He’ll be driven for luck like he does and if he gets a run he’ll be steaming home. He should be nearing peak fitness now.”
Gary Hall Snr (JUST ROCKON BYE): “If they go hard it’ll bring him into it.”
Kyle Harper (SON OF A TIGER): “Still on his way up. Unfavourable draw but should run a good race.”
RACE 9: RETRAVISION PACE (2130m)
Kyle Harper (ANIME): “Perfect draw. Each-way chance.”
Jocelyn Young (BRACKEN SKY): “Racing well, each way chance.”
Greg Bond (INFATUATION): “I expect him to settle in a forward position and he should be in the finish all going well.”
Chris Voak (ULTIMATE OFFER): “Drawn outside his chief rival for this race. Gave a good feel last week to win. Expect to be in the finish.’
Michael Grantham (THE BLACK CARDINAL): “It looks a bit awkward but Tommy has a few tricks up his sleeve so it’ll be interesting to see what the instructions are.”
RACE 10: WESTRAL 2YO FILLIES PACE (2130m)
Ross Olivieri (OUR SHOOTING STAR): “The good filly Black Jack Baby might be too good, but she’s had a setback to her racing when getting beaten by the colts. Maybe that gives us a little chance.”
Kyle Harper (ABSOLUTE DELIGHT): “Been racing fantastic. Step up in grade here but she won’t disgrace herself.”
Shannon Suvaljko (LETSDANCETONIGHT): “Going well, just needs the right run in race and will run a good race.”
Chris Voak (BLACK JACK BABY): “Trialled well. Forget last run against the colts. Back to fillies’ company and looks too fast for them. Should win, my best of the program.”
