THE Inter Dominion moves two hours south of Perth to Bunbury for the second round of heats on Tuesday night.

Importantly, Bunbury is a considerably larger (960m) track compared to the 80.4.5m Gloucester Park circuit.

ADAM HAMILTON dissects the three Bunbury heats:

HEAT 4 (Race 2 – Bunbury)

LENNYTHESHARK (9) dominates the betting and should win despite the back row draw. He should follow through well behind quick beginner SHANDALE (2) and settle midfield in the running line. Whether Chris Alford sits and sprints or goes to the death is the question. YAYAS HOT SPOT (1) gets his chance to lead and give a great sight from the pole. Ran on better than his eighth reads on paper on night one. SHANDALE (2) is flying and grabbed the eye late in his opening heat when came wide on final bend and charge home. GALACTIC STAR (8) has rough hope if he gets leader’s back. HAVE FAITH IN ME (10) will appreciate bigger track, but needs to lift.

SUGGESTED BET: Small win bet and bigger place bet on YAYAS HOT SPOT (1).

HEAT 5 (Race 3 – Bunbury)

SOHO TRIBECA (6) has a big barrier draw advantage over arch-rival CHICAGO BULL (8). Can’t tip against SOHO TRIBECA (6), but he is likely to have to sit parked outside OHOKA PUNTER (2). If Gary Hall Jr can produce some magic, CHICAGO BULL (8) could get his chance to cause the minor upset. OHOKA PUNTER (2) must be a place hope in front. MR MOJITO (4) will be a big improver from gate four.

SUGGESTED BET: I’d rather take the $4 or better CHICAGO BULL (8) and hope rather than $1.25-ish Soho Tribeca.

HEAT 6 (Race 4 – Bunbury)

BY far the best heat of the night on paper. While you would expect LAZARUS (6) to bounce back, he will need to really earn it from a wide draw and the fact he’s likely to have to sit parked. Still like him. TIGER TARA (1) is flying without winning and gets his chance if – as most expect – he can muster enough zip to hold the front from the pole. Huge run behind Lennytheshark in his first heat. SAN CARLO (3) was driven too conservatively on night one, but hit the line well. Drawn well and expect him to be a major factor. MOTU PREMIER (4) is flying, but will need luck from a tricky draw. Place hope.

SUGGESTED BET: SAN CARLO (3) the place at $2 or better.
