Friday night – Newcastle Race 3 Number 12 Right On With It (eachway) – Jack Trainor will take the drive and his experience will be a big factor.  The gelding finished fourth last start and wasn’t far away despite the mile rate being quick.  The better chances have drawn the second row and he might be the forgotten horse that can run a good race at eachway odds.

Saturday night – Menangle Race 10 Number 12 Jodan – Punters will have to be patient to wait for the best bet but Jodan looks a solid chance after a good run behind Tact Tate last week in the Mount Eden.  Was beaten just over ten metres and Tact Tate would be expected to beat this field by a lot further.  Has a good record at Menangle and looks hard to beat.

Saturday night – Wagga Race 3 Number 1 Im Johnny Jet – After a string of second placings Im Johnny Jet looks set to return to the winners list for the first time this year.  The four year old has drawn perfectly in gate one and he did lead throughout when recording his last victory at Griffith in November last year.  Trained by Phil Maguire and driven by his son Reece, Im Johnny Jet should take a lot of running down.

Sunday afternoon – Parkes Race 5 Number 3 Homestead Lad – The gelding’s recent form has been very strong including a last win at Peak Hill after drawing the second row.  From barrier three expect him to be driven forward in the early stages and while he has over raced previously, if Mitch Hutchings is able to slow the speed in the first half of the race he should be able to slip away from his rivals turning for home.

Sunday night – Canberra Race 2 Number 2 Tamahay – The six year old debuted for his new stable in style last start as he recorded a comfortable victory at Bathurst after working to the lead.  Had trialled impressively prior to resuming and expect him to be driven in an aggressive manner off the good draw.  Ran the 2260 metres right out at Bathurst and this race looks easier.
