Friday night’s Free-For-All winner Ideal Agent was the notable inclusion to the top 12 for this morning’s second rankings release for the Fremantle and WA Pacing Cup.
The Greg and Skye Bond-trained Ideal Agent scored his first Free-For-All win at just his fourth attempt in the Celebrate NYE At Gloucester Park Pace (2536m) and moved up eight spots to 11th in doing so.
The six-year-old enjoyed got clear running over the last 100m and stormed home to beat Prince Of Pleasure and Minstrel.
Prince Of Pleasure’s third runner-up performance from his last four starts saw him rise to number 13 on the rankings and will need to force his way into the top 12 via this week’s J.P. Stratton Cup (2130m).
Defending Fremantle Cup champion Minstrel’s encouraging return to racing has seen him rise one spot to number six on the latest rankings, overtaking defending WA Pacing Cup winner Wildwest.
While it’s good news for the Bond stable with Ideal Agent, stablemate Vampiro has slipped from 12th to 14th on the rankings following his unplaced effort on Friday night.
The veteran pacer is one of six Bond runners to be nominated for the $100,000 Stratton Cup.
Magnificent Storm, who is also set to run this week, remains number one on the rankings, while Diego has risen above Lavra Joe to sit second.
