There is Dalgety and Dunn, Waller and Bowman, and now Hunter and Williamson.
The Hunter-Williamson combination may not have racked up the same amount of big race successes that their more famous counterparts have, but they are striking at a rate they would be proud of.
It was helped on Saturday when the Hamish Hunter-trained Tiziano powered home to win on the grass at Oamaru on Saturday for driver Matthew Williamson.
The win continued the roll the combination has been on this summer from only a handful of races.
Last month it was Brad Williamson winning on the impressive Hunter-trained debutante Vin Scully.
And before that Matthew struck victory with Maidonthebeach at Omakau.
Hamish Hunter-trained horses were simply a pleasure to drive, Matthew said.
“They are always fit and well drilled and have great manners.”
Tiziano put in a cheeky effort for fourth in her last start on grass at Gore to reignite her form leading into Saturday’s race.
“I watched her replay at Gore and she went well and was obviously coming back into form.’’

A post tipping Tiziano as a winner saw dozens of their members cash in on Tiziano’s early $17 fixed odds price.
Punters who missed out on Tiziano’s Oamaru win will get up to three more opportunities to do so soon.
The horse has an obvious liking for grass tracks and there are three meetings coming up in the South for her to target.
Waikouaiti race on Thursday and Saturday of next week and Ascot Park has a grass track meeting in early March.
Those races could provide more reward for Tiziano’s constant testing of her handlers’ patience.
The mare could be best described as cantankerous and having a mind of her own, stable representatives said.
Saturday’s feature race, the Oamaru Cup, was won by another more well-known combination.
Don Domingo sprinted away from his rivals for an easy win for trainers Ken and Tony Barron and driver Blair Orange.
