Exciting pacer Slip The Hundy indicated he was on track for the upcoming TAB Constellations at Albion Park.

The former New Zealand pacer, now under the care of Narissa McMullen, has won two of his three starts at the metropolitan venue and as a result, connections are daring to dream big.

The Lincoln Royal – Star In The Future gelding has been freshened since failing to handle the unsuitable Marburg track back on March 6.

The big striding four-year-old is aiming at the Gr.2 $53,040 Queensland Sun on July 2, a new event on the Racing Queensland calendar, and the winner gains automatic entry into the Gr.1 $305,000 AQWA Constructions Rising Sun the following week.

The Rising Sun will consist of a field of twelve over the distance of 2138m, the event will have ten four-year-old’s plus two three-year-old’s engaged.

Last year, star mare and now North American based Amazing Dream claimed the inaugural edition.

Slip The Hundy is hoping to fly the Queensland flag and resumed with a pleasing trial over 1660m today (Thursday).

He led throughout in a time of 1:56.5 defeating Stun Gun and Betterthandiamonds.

His splits were timed in 28.1, 31.7, 29.9 and 27 seconds.

“He was good, nice and relaxed and dashed up the straight well.” McMullen said.

Another option for connections throughout the carnival includes the Gr.3 $31,768 Garrards 4yo Championship on July 16.

Four great nights of racing are programmed throughout the month of July.
