Bathurst reinsman Doug Hewitt has the biggest drive of his career in Queensland on Saturday night.
The 29-year-old will partner Ripp in the Group 1 $305,000 The Rising Sun at Albion Park.
Ripp, trained by Hewitt’s father Bernie Hewitt, has drawn barrier one in the feature and will face some of Australia’s current most talked about pacers.
This includes star Victorian mare Ladies In Red as well as Chariots Of Fire winner Better Eclipse and talented QLD pacer Leap To Fame.
The other NSW-trained runners in the race include the Rickie Alchin-trained Captain Crusader and the Jason Grimson-prepared Ideal Dan.
Prior to heading north again, Hewitt will have five drives at Bathurst tonight.
The iForm best bets for tonight:

Consistent mare that keeps the popular elect very honest getting a key driver change.
