bb2WA leading trainer Gary Hall looks to have a strangle hold on the West Australian Derby on April 15.

Hall took his three Kiwi imports to the trials at Byford on Sunday and what a Easter present they provided for him.

Overboard Again, King Lebron and Mach Time all took part in the same trial with Overboard Again rated 1:58.7 in winning a 2150m Byford trial by 1m from King Lebron and pacemaker Mach Time finished a close fourth.

Overboard Again and King Lebron would make their WA debuts in this Friday night’s $50,000 Western Gateway Pace (2536m) at Gloucester Park, a traditional lead up race to the Group 1 Derby.

While Mach Time will have his first Perth race in Friday week’s WA Derby Prelude

Lightly-raced Overboard Again,  won a 2200m race in New Zealand on January 14.

Mach Time has won five races and King Lebron two.

Hall is also aiming Chicago Bull. a Gloucester Park winner at his past four starts, for the Derby.
