6The Albion Park Harness Racing Club will play host to a strong ten race program this Saturday night.

And the opening race has attracted an even field of 12 pacers with several in-form runners set to contest the UBET Jackpots Galore Pace over the 1660m.

The sprint scamper features several speedy beginners and pressure will be at an extreme level while luck in running will be crucial to the outcome.

Last start winners include Sammys A Kriden, Mafuta Vautin, Big Spending Telf and Birdy Mach while other in-form runners include Major Deed, The Pacman, Our Pacquaio, Midnight Prowler, Lavra Bhutan, Mach Cullen, Western Blaze and Nureyev.

The Jack Butler trained Sammys A Kriden has drawn favourably in gate two and the six times Albion Park winner looked good coming off the pace to run down in-form pacer Double Event last week.

The Royal Mattjesty gelding led throughout over this distance three starts ago defeating many of the rivals he faces again this weekend.

Concession reinsperson Isobel Ross will take the drive this week.

Gambling giant UBET are offering several jackpots throughout the program including a guaranteed $50,000 First 4 pool on the opening race plus a $10,000 jackpot.

A Quadrella jackpot of $23,802 is also slated; the quaddie will be staged on races 2, 3, 4 & 5.

The quaddie pool is expected to exceed $100,000.

Again, the quaddie legs look open with several even races assembled meaning punters will get great value.

UBET are also offering a guaranteed $10,000 trifecta pool on the third race while guaranteed $2000 First 4 pools are programmed for races 4, 5, 6 & 7.

The rich Australasian Breeders Crowns Finals take place in Melbourne this weekend and the sole Queensland representative is three-year-old filly Get In The Groove for trainer Grant Dixon, leading Sydney reinsman Luke McCarthy retains the drive after qualifying her last week at Bendigo.

Get In The Groove is raced by her breeders, Kevin and Kay Seymour.

The Mach Three filly starts in race 5 on Sunday afternoon and has drawn gate 13.

The first of 10 races is scheduled to start at 5.42pm.
