8The Albion Park Harness Racing Club is giving punters a great opportunity to land themselves some extra spending money.

And with the Australia Day public holiday just around the corner, the timing couldn’t be better.

On Saturday night at Albion Park, gambling giant UBET are offering a guaranteed $200,000 trifecta pool on the opening race, the Sports Today on 4BC Pace.

Yes, a guaranteed $200,000 trifecta pool!

And the 1660m mobile event has drawn together a competitive line-up which includes several in-form runners highlighted by the classy Five Card Draw, Joys A Babe and Montana Falcon to name just a few.

The talented trio all boast excellent recent form.

Albion Park course commentator Chris Barsby is expecting a keenly contested event and believes the barrier draw has paved the way for the ideally drawn Five Card Draw who will start from the inside gate with the early scratching of Ohoka Colorado.

“Looking at how this race maps, I think the best way for punters to attack this trifecta is by working your combinations around Five Card Draw. This former classic winning juvenile has performed consistently at a high level since joining the stables of Darrel Graham, he’s a fast beginner suited by the sprint distance and his recent form is very solid.

“Five Card Draw lost no admirers last week with another strong showing against the in-form Jackaroo Bromac and the early scratching is key to his chances because he looks a certain leader and he’s capable of running fast time, he’s the horse to beat.

“Finding horses to include in your combinations with Five Card Draw isn’t easy because several of his rivals all boast good recent form and luck in running will play a key role but I can certainly entertain Mista Mara who’s drawn directly behind Five Card Draw plus Corey Odonohue, Joys A Babe, Stormfortheboys, Montana Falcon and Monarkmac.”

The first of 8 races is scheduled to start at 5.00pm.
