13Two-time Breeders Crown champion Our Twentyten resumes from a five-month spell today in the Mountain View Stud Hamilton Trotters Cup.

The Brent Lilley trained five-year-old gelding will come off 20 metres in the 2660m standing start event for reinsman Rodney Petroff, drawing alongside 11-year-old recent monte specialist Star Gun and Nicole Molander’s six-year-old gelding Lord Liam.

The backmarker in the $13,575 race is El Paco off 30m for the strong Peter and Kerryn Manning combination.

El Paco ran third to Monbet and Claudys Princess last time out at Melton at Group 1 level.

Meanwhile, Lightning Calder – an impressive five-year-old who has won two races on the trot for C. Demmler – will start from the front line alongside Brad Hun trained Lady Mackendon.

Eight races are pencilled in for Hamilton, a club which recently enjoyed a successful Hamilton Pacing Cup day.

Another highlight on the program will be the appearance of Supersonic Miss, a four-year-old mare who has won four straight races – including the Group 1 News South Wales Breeders Challenge Final in June last year – going into today’s fifth race, a C2-C4, for Kerryn Manning.

Race 1 kicks off at 1.49pm.
