Menangle Park horseman Jason Grimson believes he has a live chance in Saturday night’s $1million Miracle Mile at Menangle.
Grimson’s starter is Majestic Cruiser who qualified for the Grand Circuit Sprint when finishing second to Spirit Of St Louis in the Schweppes Sprint last Saturday.
Majestic Cruiser was consistent throughout the Inter Dominion Carnival, finishing sixth in the final.
He then bounced back this preparation with a win in career best time, rating 1:51.9 at Menangle on February 12.
Despite being beaten last start, Majestic Cruiser rated 1:48.5 himself.
The favourite for the Miracle Mile prior to the draw last night was King Of Swing with Majestic Cruiser one of the outside chances.
King Of Swing remained the favourite after drawing one in the $1m feature and Majestic Cruiser a $21 hope after drawing barrier three.
The show goes on for the Grimson stable with three starters engaged at Menangle today.
