IT’S ‘Trundle’ time!

The Parkes Harness Racing Club will be holding its annual ‘Trundle’ meeting on Friday night, March 31.
Trundle, a small town west of Parkes, raced for many years before closing down in 1994. The town and its immediate district has produced many top class horses and horse people over the years and although there are not as many horses bred in the district today, Trundle continues to be  strong supporters of harness racing.
Each year the Parkes HRC holds a meeting with all sponsors on the night Trundle-based businesses and the families of prominent harness racing identities.

All races on the night will carry a trophy and an inscribed rug along with the $5000 prizemoney.
This year’s sponsors are the Trundle Services and Citizens Club, Darriwell Merino Stud, Jack and Dudley Harris Family, Henry McDermott Family, Jenny Jones Family, Max Nicholson Family, Les and Milly Watling Family and the families of Jimmy Mudge and Kevin Daley.

The Parkes HCR will be running a free bus on the night leaving from the Trundle Services and Citizens Club.

Everyone on the bus will receive free entry to enjoy the night’s racing.
