The first series of the Garrard’s Junior Concession Driver Challenge is well truly under way with the first heat being run at Bunbury on Monday 14 September.

Jocelyn Young, who is only new to the driving ranks, took out heat one driving Gothic Rage for trainer Craig Abercromby.

The girls made it a trifecta with Lauren Jones leading throughout most of the race on Imincharge, finishing second, with Western Drover driven by Letitia Barron finishing back in third.

Gloucester Park hosted heat two of the series on Tuesday 15 September which saw defending Champion Kristy Sheehy take the reins behind Extreme Times for trainer Dylan Quadrio, to lead from mobile to winning post.

Stuart McDonald drove Seeknyoushallfind to finish second ahead of Maddison Brown and Bet The Max.

Heat three will take place on Monday 21 September at Pinjarra, before the drivers head to Northam on Tuesday 22 September to finalise the rankings for Series One, where the fourth and final heat will take place.

Garrard’s has once again sponsored the series, supporting Western Australian Junior Drivers in gaining valuable experience.
