CLASSY performer Gallifrey Mystique should have no problems returning to the winners’ circle at Globe Derby tomorrow night.

Racing in scintillating form this season, the Aaron Bain and Jake Webster-trained mare had her winning streak broken with a luckless third at Port Pirie last week when beginning from the second row.

Before that, Gallifrey Mystique had won her six starts in effortless fashion.

“Nothing went her way at Port Pirie,” Bain said. “They’ve gone slow up front while she was off the back and then she’s run 57 seconds while off the track and still couldn’t make up much ground.

“Port Pirie is such a flat circuit and coming from behind just doesn’t suit there.”

This time around the daughter of Real Desire has drawn to work forward from barrier five, with Bain confident success awaits.

“She is very well within herself and ready to bounce back,” Bain said. “Hopefully last week was just a speed bump and she will be back winning mode on Friday night.”

With no specific plans in mind for the four-year-old, the training partners will continue to select suitable races as they become available.

“We’ve got nothing special picked out for her,” Bain said. “Just keep going through the grades and see how she progresses.”
