The countdown to New Year’s Eve is on and Tabcorp Park, Melton is gearing up for one of its biggest nights of the year at the venue.
An eight race card will be conducted at Melton on New Year’s Eve this Thursday with the first race at 6.58pm and the last race at 10.42pm.
For those in attendance on course there will be plenty of cash, prizes and TAB betting vouchers to be won on the meeting with cash giveaways, complimentary sweeps, lucky coupon draws and losing TAB ticket draws conducted throughout the evening.
As well as enjoying all the on track racing action, patrons will be entertained by live band Party Rock who will be playing on the lawn in between races and up until midnight.
For the kids, there will be plenty of free rides and activities to keep them entertained including a haunted house slide, jungle inflatable adventure, cup and saucer ride and face painting.
At midnight a dazzling fireworks display will take place in the centre of the track to welcome in the New Year which no doubt will be a highlight for the large crowd expected to be in attendance.
For those looking to party on after midnight, live band Funkshun will be playing in the Sportsbar after the last race through until the early hours of the morning.
With hot weather forecast for Thursday, outdoor bars and food outlets will keep all patrons hydrated and refreshed throughout what is likely to be a warm evening at the track on New Year’s Eve.

Entry to Tabcorp Park, Melton is free on New Year’s Eve and on course patrons will also receive a complimentary racebook. The kids’ rides and activities are also free of charge.
All dining places in the Toolern Room and Home Straight Restaurant have been sold out for the night however walk up dining will be available in the Legends Café and food vendors will also be operating on the lawn.
