After winners in Burnie and Launceston last weekend, Brighton trainer Mark Reggett will be out to continue his good form when he takes two runners to the eight-race card in Hobart on Friday night.
Reggett has a winning strike rate of 37% this season, has last start Burnie winner Just For Dace, and three-year-old Lets Go Bill, who is resuming from a break are engaged on the program.
Just For Dave has built a handy record this season, winning three of his 11 starts with five further placings to his credit.
The Sutter Hanover entire was able to find the lead in the early stages in Burnie last Friday and was too strong for his rivals late in the 2180m standing start event, with that win following three consecutive placings on the Hobart track, including a second to Guido Da Siena on 16 November, where he was run down late after doing some mid-race work.
Just For Dave has drawn barrier three in the third race of Friday night’s program, with connections electing to use her five-point concession claim of driver Tiarna Ford.
Tiarna will also be in the sulky of three-year-old Lets Go Bill, who lines up in the first leg of the quaddie, race five.
The gelded son of Stonebridge Regal scored in a trainer’s encouragement pace at his most recent race track appearance on 23 May.
He goes into Friday’s event with a recent trial under his belt on 22 November when fourth to No Nukes Skipper.
The Hobart card also sees the driving debut of Jacob Duggan, the son of duel-code trainer Adrian Duggan.
Jacob will take the reins aboard Wattabout Spangher, who is an $11 chance in race four.
The eight-race card commences at 18:05, with the first race to be shown on Sky Racing 2, with all races being streamed on TasracingTV.
