1South Merbein filly Flojos Gold won her sixth race at start No.9 on Saturday night, taking out the South Australian Oaks at Globe Derby.

The reigning Empire Stallions Vicbred Super Series two-year-old winner from the Ian Watson stable secured an economical trip from inside the back row, three-back-the-pegs for Ian’s son, reinsman Luke Watson, before pushing out at the 600m and moving three-wide at the quarter pole.

Once in the clear Flojos Gold (Mach Three/Jasper Jo) rounded up the frontrunners to overhaul Queen Of Sharkz (Wayne Hill) and Emma Stewart-trained long odds-on favourite Celebrity Guest (Mark Billinger) for a 1.4-metre win.
