Sky Racing’s flagship harness and greyhound programs have been significantly enhanced for 2018.
Both shows will return in February with a fresh, exciting new line-up and additional content which will feature hard-hitting segments.
Key issues and discussion points surrounding both codes will be one of the primary focuses of the shows which will return to air next month.
Ben Way, who joined SKY in 2017 from Fox Sports News, will anchor In The Gig and is set to be ably assisted by key form experts Jason Bonnington and Greg Hayes.
Hayes, who has had a long and decorated career at SKY and in particular on harness racing’s flagship program, said he is very excited by the new direction for the show.
“I’ve been lucky enough to be associated with In The Gig in some form for close to 15 years and I’m really excited by the changes,” he said.
“With the addition of Ben Way to steer the show it allows Jason Bonnington and I the chance to discuss the industry’s issues, news and feature races each week.
“There has been a changing of the guard on the track with the rise of the Lazarus, Chicago Bull, Soho Tribeca and Vincent so it is timely In The Gig has undergone a few changes and will have a fresh and exciting look.
“I’m really looking forward to being a part of the new team.”
The Catching Pen will be hosted by SKY’s resident greyhound guru ‘Disco’ Dave Carlson who will be joined by experts James Van De Maat and Jason Lincoln.
“I am delighted to be hosting the all-new Catching Pen for 2018 alongside two of the brightest and most talented young greyhound presenters in James (Van De Maat) and Jason (Lincoln) going around,” Carlson said.
“We will bring you regular features stories on participants as well as tackling all the issues affecting greyhound racing in Australia.
“Naturally there will be previews and reviews of all the feature races as well.
“See you all in February!”
