4THE cost to attend the Harnessing Our Future Conference is set to increase if you register to attend after Saturday.  Currently priced at $55 per head which includes a ticket to the Gala Dinner on Friday June 24, the cost will increase to $110 if booked after the early bird special concludes on Saturday.

HRNSW CEO John Dumesny confirmed there has been a number of registrations in the past two weeks and expects more to come in before Sunday morning.

“The HRNSW team have worked hard to put together an interesting list of speakers for Harnessing Our Future which will be held at the Campbelltown Catholic Club on the Friday and Saturday before the Alabar Breeders Challenge Final Days at Menangle on the Sunday,” Mr Dumesny said.

“I would encourage anyone with an interest in harness racing to attend the two day conference.  There are sessions that will interest a wide range of people and I’d expect a rush of interest prior to the price rise this Sunday.”

A number of different topics will be discussed including equine welfare, marketing and growing ownership.

“Heather Neil is the RSPCA CEO and she will be making a presentation on Saturday while Dr Elliot Forbes the CEO of Tasracing will also discuss equine welfare.  Dr Forbes has been a veterinary surgeon in Macau, Qatar, the United Kingdom and Australia.

“Paul Dunn from 360 degrees will provide a marketing presentation.  Paul had a successful career as a rugby league player and made the transition to a thriving business career while Denise Martin from Star Thoroughbreds has built her business by increasing ownership for horse racing.”
