BB1 - unnamedDurham Park which burnt to the ground in the Victorian bush fires is to be rebuilt.

Owner Bruce Edward is doffing his accountants’ suggestions just to outsource agistment  for  his broodmares and foals but Edward is having none of it.

He told Dean Baring from APG TV at last Sundays Melbourne yearling sale “ what would I do when I wake up in the morning if I didn’t have the farm”

“I spent 10 years of my life developing the property when the fire hit but now we have a clean slate it will take nine to twelve months to rebuild.”

It was an amazing day for Edward but a turn of fate all 69 horses came through the ordeal with a clean bill of health.

“I can’t thank Alan Galloway from Alabar enough. “he added “allowing us to move our stock up there free of charge.”

Durham Park had 12 yearlings in the APG Melbourne sale top prices was a colt by Bettors Delight from Diva De Vie a well bred mare from North America, sold for $42,000.

AB& T  Cormack Racing purchased two of Durham Park’s draft lot 99 for $36.000 this colt is a full brother to NSW Derby winner Ideal For Real. The Cormack family from South Australia also took home lot 195 a Bettors Delight from USA mare Hawiian Hottie purchased for $28,000.
