American-owned pacer Duke Of Cornwall will have his second Australian start at Menangle today.
The New Zealand-bred colt won his Australian debut at Newcastle on March 25 after arriving in the country in January.
Trained by Belinda McCarthy, the three-year-old son of Sweet Lou was driven by Luke
McCarthy on that occasion and premiership-winning reinsman will drive him again today.
Connections have earmarked the upcoming Winter Carnival in Queensland as the first major aim for Duke Of Cornwall.
He was purchased by owner Richard Poillucci in January for a deal reported to be worth $500,000.
It is expected Duke Of Cornwall will race in North America at some stage.
Recently exported Australasian pacers Ignatius and Amazing Dream both secured their first wins in the Northern Hemisphere on the weekend.
