1Cranbourne is hosting an open day at its state-of-the-art Training Centre on Saturday, November 12.

Starting at 10.30am, the day offers a chance for anybody with an interest in the trots to tour the Centre and witness the facilities in full operation. Resident trainers and club officials will be on hand to answer questions whether they relate to prospective racehorse ownership opportunities, potential occupancy at the Centre for trainers (or would-be trainers) or simply getting a better understanding of our sport at a grassroots level.

The morning’s activities, which follow a registered trials fixture, also include a free brunch.

The Centre, which opened in September 2012, is home to a number of professional and hobbyist trainers and accommodates 50 horses on a six-acre site adjoining the Cranbourne Racing Centre.

Facilities afforded to trainers and their horses include three training tracks, an eight-horse walking machine, an equine treadmill and a 24m swimming pool.

To date the Centre has produced more than 130 winners including 53 in the recently completed 2015/16 racing season.

To register your interest in attending contact Cameron Gallagher on 5996 1300.
