We are on track for our first Five Star Race Meeting of 2018! FREE ENTRY

Spectators is back in our usual building! We are excited to welcome you back. This means all our delicious pizza and burger options will be available. (Gluten free and vegetarian options available).

$15 A La Carte Dining – Choose from five of our divine dishes that are available in the Christian Cullen Lounge, located on level 1 of the Metropolitan Stand. (Gluten free and vegetarian options available).

Stables BBQ – Enjoy a bite to eat from the Stables BBQ. Whether it is a juicy burger or a pottle of chips, your hunger cravings will be satisfied. The BBQ is located at the stables entrance directly beside the Lindauer Lawn.

Pop in to Spectators before the game for our $10 Burger and Beer Game Day Special! Remember, all Spectators Supporters Club Card members have access to free car parking on the Addington Site (entry to the carpark is off Wrights Road). Oamaru Harness Racing Club – Saturday 17 February 

North Otago presents grass track harness racing this Saturday 17 February at the Oamaru Racecourse. The Late Summer Grass Meeting will offer free entry and a great venue to bring a picnic along and enjoy the country atmosphere.

 

Winton Harness Racing Club – Sunday 18 February

Ten races starting at 12.05pm to be held at Central Southland Raceway, Winton. Including a $30,000 Pick Six.

 

Harness Racing Waikato Ladies Night – Support Teal 22nd February

We’re excited to get in behind the Australasian #TeamTeal18 Campaign.

Teal is the colour for Ovarian Cancer and February is Ovarian Cancer month so Australasian wide all female Harness Drivers are wearing Teal Pants to support the campaign.  We’ve decided to really get in behind the campaign so Thursday 22nd February will be  “LADIES NIGHT supporting Team Teal!”

Your $30 ticket to the Skyline Lounge includes a drink on arrival, antipasto platter, reserved seating, racebook and a $10 donation to the campaign.

Waikouaiti – Thursday 22 February    

For industry members and owners who are racing horses at Waikouaiti during the February circuit, Gerald Cayford of the Waikouaiti Harness Racing Club will be hosting a BBQ with live music for those staying on after the races on Thursday 22 February.

Hosted at Glamour Hooves Racing Stables on Beach Street in Waikouaiti, the BBQ (including pig on a spit) will start from 7pm with live music from John Fogarty, of Dunedin, from 8pm to 11pm.

The stables are right over the road from the camping ground, so handy to anyone staying over for the two day meeting.

There will also be a free breakfast on the Friday and Saturday morning at the track for those staying for the races.

At the races on Saturday there will be a special fashion on the field contest for the kids oncourse, proudly sponsored by Meridian Mall Dunedin.

A glamorous evening the Park. Come one come all to enter MitoQ Best Dressed at the Oaks – an night of fabulous fashion, Harness Racing action, stunning prizes to be won and VIP judges, including New Zealand’s very own style icon Colin Mathura Jeffree.

Best Dressed at the Oaks 2018 categories: Best dressed woman, best dressed man, best headwear, best dressed at the Oaks (overall winner).

Competition entry is free, and with fantastic prizes up for grabs you should definitely come along and put your best foot forward. However please note you must be over 18 to enter!

Stratford Trotting Club – Sunday 4th March – Te Kapua Park Racecourse

The Stratford Trotting Club is looking forward to hosting our annual meeting on the Sunday 4th March, and encourage you to come along!

The Stratford Farmlands Family Fun Day will sure to delight with the Kidz Kartz as a highlight, along with the main race, Quintin Oakes Builders Stratford Cup.

With large spacious grounds bordered by bush and lakes and an extensive lawn area, this classic race day environment is ideal for picnickers. Relax in the grandstand, or in front of the public stand which overlooks the winning post. A complimentary barbecue is held at the course the evening before the races 3rd March 5.30pm onwards with all owners and their guests, and members of the club are welcome to attend.
