Sitting on 50 career wins, reinswoman Casey Owen is ready to strike at Bathurst tonight.
The 28-year-old has locked in two drives for one of the region’s leading trainers Bernie Hewitt.
Owen will first drive Shoulda Passed in race two.
The three-year-old gelding had 21 starts last season for a win and five placings.
Owen’s next drive is on Bettor Shake It in race seven.
The lightly-raced mare has had 13 starts for two wins.
The Hewitt stable has eight starters in total at Bathurst tonight. Hewitt trained 90 winners last season and drove 60 winners himself.
The 60-year-old horseman reach 1500 winners in the sulky last term and ended the year on 1531 wins as a driver.
Hewitt has trained 1669 winners in his career and last season was amongst the top 10 trainers in New South Wales.
